Feature

Photo-first inspections on the phone in your pocket.

Snap, tag, and ship. No $1,000 iPads — inspectors use their own Android or iPhone. Every photo lands in the right place on the finalized PDF, automatically.

What it is

Apex Field Reports is photo-first by design. Phone in one hand, ladder in the other. The camera is one tap away from any inspection screen, and every photo you capture gets stitched into the right section of the finalized report without you laying out a thing.

How it works

Built for the way you work.

Phone-camera capture

No separate camera app. The same camera roll you already use, with shutter access one tap into the inspection screen — even from the lock screen once the app is installed to your home screen.

Caption + section tag

Every photo carries an optional caption and (on roofing) a section tag so it appears next to the right roof section in the PDF. Captions stick through to the finalized document without re-typing.

Auto-attached to the report

Photos for the current inspection show in a strip you can reorder, caption, or delete. The moment you finalize, Apex drops them into the PDF in the right order, at full resolution.

Per industry

Wired into every discipline.

The fields differ; the photo pipeline stays consistent.

Roofing

Tag photos to the predominant or secondary roof section so damage and leak evidence sit next to the right section on the PDF.

Pool service

Equipment photos, chemistry test strips, water clarity at the time of visit — all captioned and attached to the visit's reading.

Electrical

Panel labels, burned terminations, IR scans of hot breakers, receptacle wiring — every photo carries its caption through to the code-violation callout.

Garage door

Cable wear, frayed springs, opener nameplate, weather seal damage — caption each one so the homeowner knows what they're looking at.
